Wholesale Dress FAQ
Everything boutique owners ask us before their first order — MOQ, pricing, shipping, customs, quality and custom bandage dresses.
Ordering & Minimum Order Quantity
What is your wholesale MOQ?
6 pieces total. That is the entire minimum — not 6 per style.
Can I mix styles, colours and sizes in one order?
Yes, freely. Six completely different dresses, in six different colours and sizes, is a perfectly valid order.
Can I order just one piece of each style?
Yes. There is no per-style minimum. Most first-time buyers order 1 piece x 6 styles to see which ones sell fastest before committing to depth.
Why is your MOQ so much lower than other suppliers?
Because we run our own production facility for bandage and fashion dresses, and we would rather build a long-term relationship from a 6-piece test than lose you over a 100-piece barrier.
Plenty of our regular accounts started with a single 6-piece order.
Do you charge a sample fee?
Not for catalogue styles — simply order 6 pieces at normal wholesale price and treat that as your sample run.
Custom (OEM) samples are $80–$150 depending on the complexity of the style. The sample fee is refunded once your bulk order for that style reaches 60 pieces.
Can I reorder the same styles later?
Yes, subject to stock. Fast-moving styles are restocked regularly; some seasonal pieces do not return. If a style matters to you, tell us and we will flag it before it sells out.
Pricing & Quotes
How much are your dresses?
Most styles fall between $18 and $38 per piece, depending on fabric, construction and embellishment. Jersey and cotton styles sit at the lower end; bandage and heavily embellished styles at the top of the range.
Do the website prices include shipping?
No. Website prices are the wholesale garment price only. Shipping is calculated by weight and destination at checkout.
Do you offer better pricing on larger orders?
Yes. Send us your style list and target quantity and we will quote accordingly. Volume tiers depend on the style, so there is no single discount table.
How do I get a quote?
Three ways — whichever is easiest for you:
- Browse the catalogue and send us the style codes
- Use our Online Quotation form
- Send us photos or links on WhatsApp and we will match them to our range
I found a style code somewhere else — can you quote it?
Send us the photo or the link rather than just the code. Style codes are not standard across suppliers, so we would rather match the actual garment than guess and quote you the wrong thing.
Products, Sizing & Fabric
What do you specialise in?
Bandage and bodycon dresses are made in our own facility — that is our core. Alongside that we carry rhinestone, beading, sequin, lace, satin, mesh, jersey, cotton and maxi styles, plus jumpsuits, blazers, suits, skirts, tops and trousers.
What sizes do you carry?
Most styles run S / M / L, with XS and XL on selected styles. Our fit follows UK sizing rather than US — worth checking our size guide before you order.
What colours are available?
Colour options vary by style and are shown on each product page. If you want a style in a colour that is not listed, ask — sometimes we can source it, sometimes we cannot, and we will tell you honestly which.
What is your bandage fabric made of?
Our standard bandage construction is polyester-nylon-spandex — strong recovery, holds its shape through repeated wear.
For premium and luxury positioning we can produce in rayon-nylon-spandex, which has noticeably better hand-feel and drape at a higher cost.
Do you carry modest or longer-length styles?
Yes — our maxi, lace, satin and evening categories include full-length and longer-sleeve options. Our core range is fitted, so tell us your market and we will point you to the right categories rather than letting you browse hundreds of styles.
Do you have OEKO-TEX or other fabric certifications?
Not as standard on our regular catalogue range. We can arrange certified fabric for an order that requires it — it adds to both the cost and the lead time, so tell us early if certification is a requirement in your market and we will quote it in from the start.
How often do you add new styles?
Weekly. You can see the latest drops on our New Arrivals page.
Shipping & Delivery
Which carriers do you use?
DHL, FedEx and UPS, with full tracking on every shipment.
We ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) wherever the destination allows it: import duties and taxes are included in what you pay us, so there is nothing to settle when the parcel arrives and nothing that can hold it at customs.
Tell us where the order is going and we will confirm the carrier, the duty-paid total and a realistic transit window before you pay.
How long does delivery take?
Processing: 2–3 business days after payment clears. This includes our final quality check and size confirmation.
Transit: 5–8 business days to most destinations by express. Remote regions and destinations with slower customs can run up to 12 business days.
Orders placed over the weekend begin processing on the next business day.
Do you ship to my country?
We ship worldwide. Tell us your destination and we will confirm carrier serviceability and a realistic transit window before you pay — we would rather give you a real number than a generic promise.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is weight- and destination-based and is calculated at checkout. As a guide, a 6-piece test order is light enough that express shipping stays manageable, and the per-piece shipping cost drops significantly as order size grows.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes, on every shipment, sent as soon as the parcel is collected.
Can I use my own freight forwarder?
Yes. Many buyers consolidate through their own agent in Guangzhou. Give us the forwarder’s address and we will deliver to them.
Customs & Duties
Who pays import duties?
We do, on DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms: duties and taxes are included in what you pay us, so there is nothing for you to settle on arrival.
Rates and thresholds vary by country and change frequently, so tell us your destination and we will quote the duty-paid total before you order. It is always worth confirming current rates with your local customs office or broker as well.
Can you help with customs documentation?
Yes. We provide accurate commercial invoices, HS codes and fibre-content declarations so your broker can clear the shipment without queries.
We cannot advise on duty rates — that is your broker’s job — but we make sure the paperwork is never the reason for a delay.
What if my shipment is held at customs?
We will supply any additional documentation your broker requests, immediately. We cannot control clearance timelines in your country, but we will not leave you to deal with it alone.
I am importing to the USA — what should I know?
Since the de minimis exemption ended, duties apply to commercial dress shipments regardless of value. We wrote a full walkthrough here: How to Import Dresses from China to the USA.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
PayPal, Wise, bank transfer (T/T), Xtransfer and Western Union.
Can I pay by PayPal for a small test order?
Yes, absolutely. PayPal is the easiest option for first orders and samples — we will send you an invoice.
Do you offer payment terms?
First orders are paid in full upfront. Once we have completed a few orders together and know each other’s rhythm, we are happy to discuss more flexible terms.
Quality & Returns
How do you check quality?
Every order is inspected twice — once after production or sourcing, and again before packing. We also confirm sizes with you before the parcel is sealed.
What happens if a size is out of stock?
We tell you immediately and offer alternatives. We never substitute a different size or colour without your permission — an unexpected substitution costs you a sale and costs us your trust.
What if an item arrives damaged or defective?
Photograph the issue and send it to us within 7 days of delivery. On confirmed defects we issue a credit or a replacement. Full terms are on our Refund Policy page.
Can I return items that did not sell?
No — we cannot accept returns for change of mind or slow sell-through. That is exactly why our minimum is 6 pieces: test small, then reorder what works.
Dropshipping
Do you offer dropshipping?
Yes. We ship single units directly to your customers worldwide, so you do not need to hold stock.
Is the dropshipping price higher than wholesale?
No. You pay the same per-piece wholesale price on a dropship order as you would on a bulk order — there is no single-unit surcharge on the garment. Shipping is quoted per parcel to your customer’s address.
Will my customer see Winsome Fashion branding in the parcel?
No. Our garments carry no Winsome Fashion branding — no brand labels, no logos. Parcels arrive plain, so your customer sees your brand, not ours.
If you want your own woven labels and hangtags added, that is handled through our OEM service.
Which categories are available for dropshipping?
Essentially our whole catalogue. If a specific style is ever unavailable for single-unit fulfilment we will tell you before you list it.
Custom Bandage Dresses & Private Label
Do you make custom dresses?
Yes — custom bandage dresses are our speciality. We make them in our own Guangzhou facility on bandage knit, and can change the cut, length, neckline, straps, colour and bandage panelling, and add beading or rhinestone details. Full details on our OEM & Wholesale page.
Can you develop a pattern from reference photos alone?
Yes, for bandage styles — that is a normal part of our process. Reference photos are fine, including AI-generated images, as long as the design can be made in bandage fabric. The more detail you give on fit and finishing, the closer the first sample will land.
What is the MOQ for custom production?
60 pieces per style and colour to start.
How long does custom production take?
Sample: 7–10 days. Bulk production after sample approval: 10–20 days, depending on quantity.
Can I put my own brand label and packaging on the garments?
Yes — woven labels, hangtags, care labels and custom polybags or boxes on bulk orders.
What kinds of custom designs do you not take on?
We stay with what we do well. We do not develop custom lace or appliqué, all-over hand embroidery or beadwork, feather work, or couture gowns that depend on fabrics made from scratch. Many AI-generated designs fall into this group — they look achievable in a picture but need a fabric that does not exist yet. Bandage dresses with beading or rhinestone details are fine; the bandage base is what we know.
Do you offer design exclusivity?
Catalogue styles are available to all buyers — we will not pretend otherwise. For custom OEM designs developed from your own artwork, the design is yours and we do not sell it to anyone else.
Do you already have a distributor in my country?
We do not operate exclusive country distributors for our catalogue range, so there is no channel conflict to worry about. If you are building serious volume in one market and want to discuss a closer arrangement, talk to us.
Working With Us
Are you a factory or a trading company?
Both, honestly. We own and operate a production facility in Guangzhou for bandage and fashion dresses — that is where our core range is made, and you are welcome to visit.
For categories outside that (sequin, lace, satin, heavy embellishment) we produce through a network of factories we have worked with for years. Either way, the order ships from us, inspected by us, with one person accountable to you.
Can I visit your factory?
Yes, anytime. Let us know your dates and we will arrange it. If you are sourcing in Guangzhou we can also help you plan the rest of your trip.
How long have you been doing this?
Since 2015 — 11 years in the Guangzhou wholesale dress trade.
Who do you usually work with?
Online boutique owners, physical dress shops, rental boutiques, fashion entrepreneurs launching a first collection, and multi-brand retailers. Our markets are strongest in the USA and Latin America, and we are actively growing in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
Do I get a dedicated contact?
Yes. One person handles your account — quotes, orders, restocks and new arrivals. No ticket queue.
